Trent River Estuary Eelgrass Transplant

LTE Inc provided eelgrass transplant services to plant an area with eelgrass over 1000m2 in the Trent River estuary near Comox Valley, British Columbia. The transplant was required to offset impacts from a nearby DND dredge project. LTEC’s services provided site scoping, planning, equipment supply, and diver oversight and management to ensure project success.
LTEC also provided eelgrass transplant and monitoring services to the Comox Valley Project Watershed Society’s Blue Carbon project which included both subtidal and intertidal environments and involved community volunteers to assist in the transplants.
